Where is Ses Illetes beach?

It is located at the north of Formentera, in the Natural Park of Ses Salines Ibiza and Formentera. It is a protected area, recognized as a World Heritage Site since 2001.

You have 450 meters of beach, divided into two sections due to its rock formation located in the center.

It is famous for its crystalline waters and white sand. As it is such a popular beach, we advise you to plan your getaway in the mid-low season. Its climate is mild, so it invites you to visit it throughout the year.

The ideal goal would be to visit it in the months of June and September. End of April or May, it is also a good time, although there may be a day that does not allow you to bathe, just walk on the beach.

How to get to Ses Illetes Formentera

If you take the ferry in Ibiza, you will arrive at the port of La Savina, approximately, the beach of Ses Illetes, is 5 km away.

By bike you will arrive in approximately 15 minutes and by motorcycle in about 10 minutes.

We recommend that you visit it by bike, you can also do it by car or motorcycle, but to enter you have to pay a fee of 6€ for the car and 4€ for the motorcycle and the parking lot is usually full (especially in high season). Access on foot or by bike is free.

Electric cars have free access as there’s fee to pay.

Talking about bus; the L3 tourist bus is a line that connects the Illetes beach with the Port of Formentera (La Savina) every half hour and within you can also go to Es Pujols beach, the overlook and the la Mola lighthouse, those places that you cannot miss in Formentera.

The journeys are usually short, 15 minutes and the roundtrip ticket is about 8€.

Remember that if you travel with your bike by ferry, it will not cost you anything to board the Ibiza Formentera ferry. Even from the Port of Dénia, you can go directly to Formentera with your bike on board. Once you arrive at the port you have a destination bike lane Ses Illetes that goes through the Natural Park enjoying an incredible landscape.
